I was delighted to hear that my colleague Helen Lamb, Executive Director, Managed Infrastructure Services was awarded the prestigious Business Leader of the Year accolade at the Women in IT Awards last night in Park Lane, central London.
Sponsored by Information Age, the inaugural event brought together 500 of the UK’s leading business leaders to celebrate the invaluable contribution women make to the tech industry.
With recent research by employer body The Tech Partnership highlighting that women make up just 16% of the IT industry, awards like this have never been more important to highlight the great results that diversity can bring businesses.
Having progressed through a range of roles here at Fujitsu across X years, Helen’s work has had a tremendous impact on the wider team, and as I’m sure you can imagine, seeing this recognised by industry professionals is a huge achievement. The fact that Helen triumphed over such talented competition to take home this award provides further testament to her unparalleled contribution to our work here at Fujitsu.
I’d like to extend my congratulations to Helen on behalf of the whole team here at Fujitsu UK and Ireland, and hope that her great work within the organisation continues for many years to come.
