Helen Lamb, VP-Head of Managed Infrastructure services for Fujitsu in the UK & Ireland, has been recognised with yet another leadership award! This time Helen has bagged the Leader of the Year at the 2015 at the FDM everywoman in Technology Awards for improving revenue, profit and customer satisfaction at Fujitsu UK & Ireland, not to mention bringing in new services to clients such as RBS, Boots and Balfour Beatty.
Sponsored by BP and supported by our industry trade body, Tech UK, the FDM Everywoman Award plays an integral role in showcasing the female role models in technology and encouraging young women and girls to believe that women can achieve great things in an IT role.
On winning her award, Helen said: “I’m just so delighted and proud and honoured to receive an honour like this! I’ve been in IT with Fujitsu for 20 years and I never believed I’d be doing this role, partly because I didn’t realise these kinds of roles existed. I thank all the people who took a risk on me, and I think what’s important is that we do the same for people in and outside the industry.”
I would like to congratulate Helen – who was also named Business Leader of the Year at the Women in IT Awards earlier this year – on behalf of the whole team here at Fujitsu UK and Ireland. Here’s to many more incredible achievements in the future!
