It is hard to believe that November is already upon us! With a new month well underway, SMEs are continuing to work hard to meet their goals. This week has been one around discussions of collaboration and growth for our UK SMEs. Please see below a summary of this week’s news:
- This week research from UPS has revealed that UK SMEs are exceedingly more confident about their export growth. The survey found that 42 per cent of SMEs expect their export volumes to grow by 45 per cent, which will consequently lead to stable businesses and growth in the UK.
- It was SME Week at TechUK this week, and called for more effective use of government framework tools, in order to raise awareness to increase the use of the government’s G-Cloud procurement framework. Our own Chairman, Michael Keegan, commented in support of SMEs, stating “collaboration is absolutely vital in the IT industry because no one company, including the likes of Fujitsu, IBM, CapGemini or Atos, no one company has the answers or has the monopoly on good ideas”.
- And finally, new data from WorldFirst has found that SMEs in the UK are increasing to trade with Europe, with over £198m transacted into Euros during October, which is significantly 59 per cent up from September
